Cynthia's Favorite Vegan Things for November

When I say that I am obsessed with each of these new favorite things, I mean that I eat, wear or use them every day since discovering them. No exaggeration.

1. OCHO Coconut Bar

OCHO stands for Organic Chocolate. Their bars are also gluten-free, non-GMO, and the coconut bar is vegan. I found these at my local Ralph's grocery store and nearly flipped my lid when I tasted it. If you liked Mounds or Almond Joy candy bars, this is your lucky day. Available on their website. $1.99 each. (I just hope they veganize all their bars. Vegan Snickers, c'mon!)

2. Arcopedico L19 Black

(These boots come in a number of colors and even suede-like material. Men's shoes also available.)

If you've read my favorite things posts you know that I am ready to give it all up to become a vegan shoe designer. (Not really, but I do fantasize about it occasionally.) I'm always searching for stylish, comfy vegan shoes. I feel like I won the Lotto with these shoes. I've worn them every day since receiving them. The most comfortable shoe out of the box ever. And such quality stuff. Machine washable and water resistant, too! What?! Take a look at the info about their vegan line:

Discover the new Vegan line of Arcopedico shoes. Trendy, light and extremely comfortable, the breathable material is Chrom free, PVC free, friendly to the skin, gained from cellulose, and is also washable. Free of any animal materials, the L’line has received a certificate from BioCalce to attest to the biological materials and respect for nature in its production, and is particularly suitable for Vegan lifestyle. All of the 'L' shoes from Arcopedico® are very flexible and lightweight, making them ideal for travel. Machine washable. Air dry.

3. Hugo Naturals Shampoo

Vegan/All natural shampoos are a tricky thing. Most leave me flat. (No pun intended.) The only exception I've found is Hugo Naturals shampoos. Imagine my surprise when it actually lathered! I've tried a few of their shampoos, and I've been pleased with each of them. It's my go-to shampoo now. Plus, they're an awesome company who believe in using food-grade ingredients for their bath and beauty products. $9.99/12 oz.

From their website:

  • Never any: parabens, phenoxyethanol, sulfates, PEGs, propylene glycol, petroleum products, silicones, phthalates, synthetic surfactants, artificial colors or synthetic fragrances.
  • Made from 100% Natural Ingredients
  • Vegan
  • Soy Free
  • Cruelty Free
  • Gluten Free

I honestly believe that by supporting conscious cruelty-free companies, though more expensive than their cheap toxic or cruel counterparts, you bring more joy, health and ABUNDANCE into your life and the world.

Happy Conscious Consuming!
